Eight Marketing was proud to be the featured presenter at the educational seminar at the Visit Bucks County annual luncheon to answer that question.  Participants were treated to a practical presentation, complete with valuable guidelines and direct contacts for extending their hospitality message with the help of key tourism marketers.

Annual PCVB Luncheon: All About the Networking

PCVB Meetup 2011The annual luncheon of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, held the day before Thanksgiving, is a tradition and must-attend in Philadelphia, attracting more than 1,000 attendees. The rule of thumb was always -- come early before the lunch and network as old partners and new were sure to be in attendance.

 

This year's luncheon is all about the networking, with a Meet-Up format, changing from a sit-down lunch to food stations so that the networking doesn't end when the food begins.

 

The event will be held Wednesday, November 23, with tours beginning at 11:00 and what's being billed as The Ultimate Networking Experience being held from noon to 2:00.

Holiday Offers? That's Something to "Like"

At this time of year, many attractions and businesses are finalizing their end of the year offers, be it discount memberships, BOGO tickets or shopping discounts. But before finalizing that e-blast or newsletter with your deals, think about a gift that gives back.

 

Utilize Facebook and Twitter to convey your deals and watch your popularity soar. A new Nielsen study showed that 45% of responders had special offers and promotions as the primary reason for liking or following a company. 

Discounts Drive Brand Love

If your current fan base is low, don't worry. You can still drive the deal by communicating it through e-newsletters and other channels but requiring the "like" to get the deal.
